The Playgrounds, the largest sporting event dedicated to children, returned for the second consecutive year to Sibiu.
The event held on June 1, even on Children's Day, in the Sub Arini Park in Sibiu, gathered, despite the rain, over 2000 participating children.
Of the more than 20 play areas brought to Sibiu by the organizers of the Playgrounds, the main attractions for both the small and the big ones were the area of basketball, mini-basketball and badminton.
The world champions Gabriela Szabo and Diana Oprea took an active part with the children in the sporting activities submitted by them in the Sub Arini Park. Over 150 children between the ages of 6 and 14 years have registered for the Crosul Copilii and have run on the stadium in Sibiu at the start given by Gabriela Szabo.
The cross took place in four age categories, and the winners received backpacks and underwater cameras from ING Asigurari de Viata. Also in the Playgrounds, Diana Oprea danced at the same rate with all the children who came to the park, forming the largest ad-hoc dance group.
"If the 2010 edition showed us that Sibiu enjoyed such an event, the participants of the 2011 Play Arenas confirmed the success of such an event and showed us that they want this event year after year in their city. "says Gabriela Szabo.
The playgrounds are organized by the Sport Association for Life and were at the second edition in Sibiu, already enjoying notoriety among the locals.
The next edition of the Playgrounds will take place this year in Bucharest, on June 11, in the Youth Park, between the hours of 12-20.
