The National Theater of Operetta "Ion Dacian" participates on April 11th needle. at the first edition of International Opera and Musical Festival organized by the Budapest Opera and Musical Theater, one of the musical institutions with tradition in the field of European musical performance.

The collaboration, which includes the resumption of the bilingual show "Romeo and Juliet" - a successful initiative, at the fourth performance, and participation in International Gala of Operetta, is part of a larger program, which aims to bring together on the stage of the musical theater in the Hungarian capital the most important names and productions of the genre.


Co-producer of some of the most appreciated performances in the repertoire of the National Opera Theater "Ion Dacian", among which the operettas "Silvia" and "Vaduva Vesela", but also the musicals "Romeo and Juliet" or "Rebecca", The Budapest Opera and Musical Theater organizes the first edition of the International Opera and Musical Festival between April 8 and 29, 2013.
On the occasion of the event, the National Opera Theater "Ion Dacian" is invited to participate in a reprise of the musical performance "Romeo and Juliet", in a bilingual Romanian-Hungarian interpretation, and with a series of musical moments supported by Florin Budnaru. and Georgiana Mototolea at the International Operetta Gala.


So, the musical created by the Frenchman Gerard Presgurvic and staged both in Budapest and in Bucharest by the same Hungarian creative team, will play jsheep, April 11, 7:00 pm, at the Opera and Musical Theater in Budapest. This version of the show is already a tradition of the two institutions, being successfully presented at the Biennale - the Hungarian Cultural Festival in Budapest (2009) and in Bucharest (2010 and 2011), all three events being organized with the support of the Hungarian Embassy in Romania.
As in previous years, the roles are divided between the two distributions, Romanian and Hungarian, the characters of the Montague family being interpreted by the artists Budapest Opera and Musical Theater, while the Capulet family is played by artists The National Theater of Operetta "Ion Dacian".

The show will also make a debut, being the first appearance in the role of Juliet by the young soloist Cristina Bleandura, the winner of the casting organized by the National Opera Theater in February for the role of Juliet. The role of Father Lorenzo will also come back to an artist from the Bucharest distribution, which will be played by Andras Demeter.
Friday, April 12, 7pm, in the same location, takes place the International Operetta Gala within the Festival, the event benefiting from the participation of several soloists of the invited theaters, among which two of the most appreciated performers of the National Opera Theater "Ion Dacian": Florin Budnaru, known to the public Bucharest for the roles of the operas "Vaduva Vesela", "Silvia" and "Liliacul", the musicals "Romeo and Juliet" and "Rebecca", or the collage of "Paris, Mon Amour", but also Georgiana Mototolea, the role of Lady Capulet in the musical "Romeo and Juliet" and Mrs. Danvers from the show "Rebecca"
