A newborn of 2.8 kg was found alive, at the end of last week, in a garbage dump in the city of Cisnadie. The little one was baptized Lucian, after the name of the savior, and Vinereanu, because it was discovered on a Friday. The young man who found him and who wants to adopt him tells a story that he had just left the house, together with his sister, when he heard baby whistles from an acorn, in the Oak district. They were surprised when they saw in a white canvas bag, a male newborn with a clear umbilical cord.
The baby, who had entered hypothermic shock, was transported urgently to the Maternity Hospital in Sibiu. Although it is kept in the incubator, the little one is now out of danger. The medical staff gave the boy the name of Lucian, after that of his rescuer, and Vinereanu, because Friday was found. Lucian Verbiceanu, the rescuer of the newborn, is determined to inflict the baby. He is married, is 29 years old and loves children. Police are still searching for the mother who threw her baby in the trash, but so far they have not found any clue about the woman's identity.
