Moldovan olive trees, the so-called shepherd's pies are pies made from malai and cow's cheese.

1.5 l milk

400 g Malayan greyish

750 g cow's cheese

350 ml cream

150 g butter

80 g flour

5 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

Method of preparation

In a large saucepan place the milk, butter, salt and boil all over low heat.

After the first boil, add the malai, stirring so that it does not form cocoons.

Once the composition is thickened, it is taken from the fire. When it is almost cold, add the chopped cheese, cream, yolks, flour and mix.

Then add the whipped egg whites. Place the composition of slurry and cheese in a tray lined with butter and flour and bake 40-50 minutes.

Cut the pie into squares and serve it hot with cream.
