The teachers insisted on increasing the wages by 18%, the governors said that they had no place to give more than 8%. Negotiations between the two parties failed and the strike continued.
The wage increases desired by trade unionists are 18% in total for the whole year 2006, and from September 1, 2006, with 8% compared to August 31, 2006. The majorities must be granted to the entire staff from education, teaching staff, auxiliary teaching staff, as well as non-teaching staff.
The rates paid by students from state or private education accredited, at day courses, for trips to second class with accelerated, fast and intercity trains will be reduced by half, starting with this year's holidays.
