CT (CT scan) and MRI (nuclear magnetic resonance) are powerful diagnostic devices, capable of reproducing detailed images from within the body. One sees well the structure of the bones in the body and the changes made at their level, the other millimeter surprises the soft parts of the body, fine vascular structures and nerves.
With the help of these devices, radiologists help surgeons operate with less risk. In Romania there are around 20 MRIs and 110 CTs, taking into account the devices from the private centers. Reported to the population of Romania, it would require 250 CTs and 50 MRIs.
