Cream sauce and tomatoes

Cream sauce and tomatoes

The tomato sauce is the standard version with a steaming serving of Italian pasta. To give it an extra flavor, you can try a new recipe, adding to the classic tomato sauce and a few sprinkles of cream. The result is delicious and nourishing at the same time!

Preparation time

10-15 minutes

2 tablespoons of olive oil

1 minced onion

1 clove of minced garlic

400 g tomatoes per box in their own juice

1 tablespoon dried basil

3/4 teaspoon white sugar

1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

100 g sour cream

1 tablespoon butter

Method of preparation

In a saucepan, fry the onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat. After they are slightly colored, add the tomatoes, basil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Let them boil for 5 minutes or until most of the liquid in the pan has evaporated. Take the bowl from the heat and add the cream and butter, stirring constantly. Finally, let the sauce simmer slowly, over low heat, for another 5 minutes.

Method of serving

The tomato sauce with sour cream is served hot over pasta.
