June 1 national day
Itsy Bitsy event of June 1, 2016 is part of the campaign that aims to change the relationship between children and parents in Romania, a campaign carried out by the initiative group formed by Itsy Bitsy FM, opinion leaders - Andreea Marin, Virgil Iantu and Tili Niculae -, MPs , psychologists and parents' associations, with the support of ANPDCA.
The initiative group started the campaign following the alarm signals raised by numerous studies, which show that 6 out of 10 children feel the need to spend more time with their parents, although only 24% of the parents think that the time spent with the little ones is too little. As the child grows older, the time spent with parents during the week and on the weekend decreases. According to experts, quality time does not mean time spent in the same room, but that parents are 100% present in the relationship, giving the children full attention.
To provide solutions to these problems, the initiative group launched a call to parents in Romania - "Spend at least one quality hour a day with your children" - and a comprehensive information campaign throughout the year, which also includes the steps to June 1 becomes a national day, free, so that parents and children have the opportunity to spend more quality time together. Over 14,000 Romanians who supported the initiative joined it on the Facebook page June 1 free day.
The campaign is carried out by GMP Group with the participation of GMP Advertising, GMP PR, WEBSTYLER and Point Public Affairs. In the spirit of the initiative, GMP Group employees will be free on June 1 to spend quality time with their children or parents, as appropriate.
