Tofu pasta

Tofu pasta can be prepared on fast days, but it is an ideal recipe for vegetarians as well.

400 g pasta

3 tablespoons tomato sauce

4 tablespoons olive oil

450 g tofu

350 g mushrooms

50 g of olives

1 teaspoon capere

green basil

salt pepper

Method of preparation

Prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the packaging. Meanwhile, put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and fry the cubes of tofu with salt and pepper.

After the tofu cubes have browned, remove them on paper towels. Put another two tablespoons of oil in the heat and heat the mushrooms cut into small slices, keeping them only 5 minutes, over low heat.

Add the olives, capers, tofu and tomato sauce. Allow the sauce to boil for another 5 minutes, then pour over the boiled pasta. Serve pasta with fresh basil on top.
