Potato pie, fasting

Potato pie is a great idea for when you want to pamper yourself with something special in the post!


Preparation time

For the dough

500 g flour

30 g fresh yeast

a teaspoon of salt

250 ml hot water (but not hot)

For the filling

3 large potatoes

1 link of green onion

1 jar of cut mushrooms




2-3 tablespoons oil

Method of preparation

The first step is to prepare the dough for the pie sheets. Put the yeast and salt over the flour, then gradually pour the water and knead, until a dough can be stretched.

Let it rise until it doubles in volume, and in the meantime, proceed to preparing the filling.

Cut the potatoes into cubes and bring to a boil for 20 minutes.

Put the oil in a pan and heat the finely chopped green onion and mushrooms, over which you add salt, pepper and dill. After softening and mixing the scents, add the potatoes, drained before water.

Divide the pie dough in half and spread two sheets. Put one of them on the bottom of a tray, lined with flour or oiled, add the filling and then put on top of the other sheet.

Leave it in the oven, over medium heat, about 25-30 minutes, until the sheet is browned.
